I was about 14 years old when I first found the paper that my mom wrote and turned in when she was in high school. It was a report on her family history. I was intrigued by reading it and decided that someday I wanted to bring the report up to date and expand on her project. I found a new hobby � Genealogy.
This website is primarily focused on the surnames of both my parent�s. That would be the SAVAGE and SOPHA lines along with other related surnames. They include the surnames Sauve, Kleman, Feiten, Defenbaugh, Denomme, Weller, Vanetta and Pauly, among many others.
Thanks to the help of many family members around the world, the historical data contained within these pages is continually evolving and has been created with the hope of preserving the memories of my ancestors. All photographs, document images and notes, were obtained from public libraries, local record offices, local family history societies, local museums, lectures and contacts found on the internet.
You are welcome to explore this database where you will find individual and family information in family group, pedigree and descendant reports. Some of them include photographs as well as biographies, settlement histories, maps, cemeteries, and timelines that will help you understand their lives and times.
